Every sentence in the answer carries a citation, and text without a citation is not shown. Citations on the safety sections of the SmPC are checked word for word against the text; if they do not match, Wardside declines to answer.

Administration
Invitations for the cohort and for lecturers
The university administrator invites students and lecturers by email, in groups, and manages access from a dedicated console.
Group invitations
A list of email addresses for a whole cohort or a group. The invitation is valid for 30 days, and the user type is set for the whole list.
Students are a separate user type
Students do not enter a professional registration number. Their questions are marked as academic and are not counted in the clinical figures of the report.
Lecturers
Lecturers are in the same organisation, with their own account and the role of physician or pharmacist.
Sign-in with the university domain
Work email domain or SSO. There is no other way in: registration is by invitation or domain only.

Uploaded PDF, Markdown or text files are visible only to members and are cited in the answers.

Can students use Wardside?
Yes, through their university. Students are a separate user type: they sign in by invitation or with the university email domain and do not enter a professional registration number. There is no registration without an invitation or a domain.
How are a whole cohort and the lecturers invited?
The administrator pastes a list of email addresses and chooses the user type for the whole list. Everyone receives an email invitation, valid for 30 days. If the university has a work email domain or single sign-on (SSO), members can also sign in on their own, with automatic approval or approval by the administrator.
Where do the answers come from?
From 7,600+ summaries of product characteristics divided into 25 sections, from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and national medicine registers, from 164 guidelines, standards and regulations and from curated interaction databases. Every sentence carries a citation to the exact section, and text without a citation is not shown. Details on the Sources page.
Do students’ questions count towards the clinical statistics?
No. Students’ questions are marked as academic and are not counted in the clinical figures of the usage report. This is useful for university hospitals, where students and doctors work in one organisation.
Does Wardside give a ready-made answer on treatment?
No. Wardside shows what the sources say and does not recommend treatment. It is not a clinical decision support system and not a medical device. Every answer in the chat carries the line “Not a treatment recommendation”, and the student opens the source and reads it for themselves.
