Sources and data: Where the data come from and how current they are
Wardside shows only what official and published sources contain. Every statement carries the name of its source, and the product page states when the registers were last checked.

Every source and what it provides in Wardside
The registers, the summaries of product characteristics, the curated databases, the reference works and the guidelines. In answers, each one is identified by name.

Currency
The product itself shows how current its record is
The product page states when the registers were checked, when the register last changed the record and the date of the SmPC.
- Last check of the registers: when Wardside last read them.
- Last change in the register: when the register last changed the product’s record.
- SmPC date: the date of the document the text comes from.
- Products are not deleted. If a product disappears from the registers, it stays, with the note “no longer listed in the registers” and the date.
- If a source fails to load, the screen says so. A loading error never looks like empty data.
Curated sources
Interactions, pregnancy, antibiotics and renal function
These data do not come from the registers. They are taken from specialised databases and reference works and are shown with the name of the source.
Drug interactions
171,659 pairs with a stated severity and 585,150 without a grade. There are three severity levels. When the sources differ, the more severe grade is kept. Wardside does not assign a severity of its own.

The category from the Australian regulator, the TGA (A, B1, B2, B3, C, D, X), with its note. Breast-feeding data come from section 4.6 of the SmPC.

The WHO AWaRe 2025 classification divides antibiotics into Access, Watch and Reserve. The marker appears on the product and on the active substance.

The logos show who issued the registers, databases and guidelines that Wardside cites. They do not indicate a partnership.
Where does Wardside get its medicines data?
From the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and national medicine registers, with the national price, reimbursement and export-ban lists of each connected country. The summaries of product characteristics (SmPCs) come from the EMA and national regulators.
How can I tell how current a record is?
The product page shows three dates: the last check of the registers, the last change in the register and the date of the SmPC. Changes to the SmPC over the last 12 months are listed by section.
What happens when a product disappears from the registers?
It is not deleted. It stays in Wardside with the note “no longer listed in the registers” and the date from which it has been missing. The data are kept for reference and may not be current.
Where do the drug interactions come from?

Does Wardside link to the source websites?
